                                          ***FAMILY UPDATE***

As many were aware, when Jay Hoskins was killed in Afghanistan, he left behind
a child and his wife who was expecting their second child.

I received word today that she delivered her son, Jay Wyatt Hoskins, yesterday, January 26,
which happens to be the same birthday of his fallen father, Jay.  Both mother and son are doing well.

Congratulations to the family as they continue their journey onward.

-------------------------------------------------------

Today was a very moving day for me as I was privileged to witness the return of a
local young man's body who gave his life in service for his country.  Sgt. Jay Hoskins
was Paris, Texas' first casualty of the war in Afghanistan.  His body was flown in to the
local airfield on a  private jet today.  I was fortunate to cover the event with my camera and
wanted to share my day's experience here in pictures.  The local community support to honor
this fallen marine and his family was overwhelming.

I simply share these photos for no other reason than to let others witness up-close
the view I was fortunate to have.  A funeral is planned for this weekend and I have plans to cover the
final procession  from the air so you can check back here later for those shots as well.

May God bless the family of this young marine, and the families throughout this
country who have had to walk through this painful valley themselves.

You can click on the image below to view all the shots I took today.

I was shooting with two cameras so some of the pictures will appear out of sequence.
